Art therapy, therapeutic workshops and comics supporting hope and healing, creativity and change
Graphic Attachment is an innovative art therapy project developed and led by Joanna Stevens that aims to help people learn to live with more connection, ease and energy.
As an art therapist and educator, Joanna combines the idea of telling a story through pictures (graphic) with exploring our connections and relationships with others (attachment).
In 2025, she published Connection Comics, an illustrated resource introducing the seven separate instinctive biological systems that work together to support our wellbeing.
As well as the Connection Comics, Graphic Attachment offers trauma-informed therapeutic workshops, art therapy, supervision and mentoring for individuals and groups.
These are designed to help with the following:
How to look after yourself and others better and address what gets in the way.
How to find more interest, meaning and connection in your life.
How to feel more supported within yourself and in the world around you.
